CELEBRATING FASHION AND MODESTY IN IFF 2013

BEAUTY OF MODESTY Religion was never a key factor to break you from fashion.It was always a subjective thing,like fashion does and of course that is how art works.Combining the essential teachings of  a religion in the practicality of what you are wearing is one of the best thing in having a personal style.A beautiful big congratulation to Datuk Seri Shah Rezza for his brilliant efforts in compassing fashion with modesty and majestically highlighting the beautiful of the Islamic teachings into fashion. The grand annual festive, Islamic Fashion Festival is always a luxuriously modern event that's combined the best of Islamic arts to the stylish Muslim fashinostas.

Designers from many Islamic countries were playing their best creative minds blowing people and nurturing them with how a religion teachings can actually plays their roles to put fashion in the most stylish way.I have made my way to attend the event as my very good friend Qudyn was also participated in the annual event.

 I choose to wear a tribal prints dress with black pump heels.I just love how tight the dress on my body with its simple cut but the print are the best part of the dress that I like the most.

Bali,London and Abu Dhabi was some of the beautiful cities that had actually witnessed the beauty of Islamic fashion and styling paraded by IFF.This bizzare initiative taking IFF to many countries was actually a brilliant idea when its unite many cultures in one festival bringing the Islam teachings and art together. It was joined by many fashion extraordinaire from Indonesia,Thailand and Malaysia.

A Muslimah Fashion Muse herself,Your Highness Sultanah Zahira who made her way to the event.She's very humble and full of grace.I am very lucky to see her in person and eat few feets away from her table.Modest and stunning like she always does. :)

Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week 2013: Malaysian Fashion Scene.

Watching the slow movement of Malaysian's fashion scene might feels like watching Kim Kardashian's boring reality shows but being a Malaysian blogger I am,I must say that I am honestly grateful to see an expanding ideas of nowadays young fashion designers.They have bring more fresh air to our local fashion scene in style development and uses more artistic approaches in relating arts and apparel.

I might didnt got the chance to see the whole shows for a week,but I've been following most of the designer's shows updates through friends,twitter,google and instagram, (many thanks to some of the local quick fashion bloggers who've been very responsive to KLFW since I'm also working that I cant fill my schedule with fashion week.)

During on the second day,I attended one of the show which I am humbly thanked my dear friend Jep and Jay for taking me with them.It was quite a good show even I was a little bit rushing from Bangsar for work and Pavillion for the show.In a very blink of an eye,I had to make a quick pick in one of the clothing store in Bangsar to get my outfit of the day.Ladies,in this very last minute moment,believe me it was a a big challenge to focus on simplicity yet keeping it 'less is more' is always important!

 I prefer to keep it simple.Back to the basic of black and white.I dont like looking trying too hard as i believe the best style is when you are in your higheat level of comfort even I must say that shoes was a foot killer,though!

When it comes to KLFW,its like a header to the Malaysian Fashion Industry.I am looking forward to see real fashion designers that actually can bring Malaysian style sense to their creations.Since the collections are ready to wear,I always believe we're Malaysians,really go for casualty and comfort that suits our climate and it doesn't harm the fact that we also love looking fashionably glamorous.To cqater to that,I had my eye on these three new young local designers pouring their creativity that actually,I think really scream our local fashion sense.Its modern yet so oriental,fresh designs and most importantly I like the way that the garments were made to look so clean and casual. By Zakwan Anuar,ZEAL by Max Mak and Ruzz Gahara.

                                 
Looking forward for next year's Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week.Hopefully next time I will have more times to see the comeback of our darling local designer like Rizman Ruzaini and Hatta Dolmat in the fashion week.Yes,fashionistas like me miss you much. :)

Flowery Blouse with My Dolls

I have spent my off days recently with absolutely doing nothing at home.I've watched too many dramas and movies on TV,i have lack communication to the continuous growing style and trends in the fashion world due to my overdose of laziness to step out from the house,or must I say my precious bed to be more specific.Luckily I have bunch of friends and beloved dolls to save me from ruining myself in becoming the frog under the coconut shell!Haha!

So i took sometimes to go out with my dolls to catch a movie.Yes,its been a while I haven't done this,together,with my beautiful BFF, Myl. I used to fill my blog's post full with our pictures bitching around the campus quite a few years ago,oh how i missed that moment!Be sad no more darlings,because these two dolls not going to just forget all those memories away and here you go,for some of you who might missed
seeing Myl and I playing dress ups like we used to,I've post some of our new pictures hanging out with Jep and Jay. Its quite overwhelming to see that we are have all grown up except for the fact that we're still kids jumping around taking pictures for our erm, #OOTD in Instagram and my blog! :P

I am wearing a peach coloured blouse that I bought not a long time ago in the F-Block,Bangsar,I was totally in love with it because of the comfort.Its loose,the material is chifon and its in a very light pastel colour,so its screams comforts to me.And the facts that the sleeve reminds me of a flower,named Iris makes me wants to wear it everyday!

I have actually gaining a little bit of weight and yeay!I feel healthier now but the bad side is,wearing tight body con skirt from Cotton On like the one Im wearing in the picture isn't really a fashion fun thing to do.You can see my tummy looks like a little bit bumpy over there and sucking them in and holding my breath for few pictures aren't easy darlings!Luckily,I just love to combine those two pastel colours for a sweet styling but avoid making it look dull by pairing one of them in brighter colour like the blue skirt.Its more me for a casual day hang out.

Sex Abuse Against Child: Proactive Awareness.

As I spent my whole off-working day treating my flu,I was watching a movie, "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo",it was a remarkable story about a journalist looking for a missing woman for 40 years.Now,not just the fact that it was Daniel Craig who played as the main character that attracts me the most but theres one side of the issue in the movie that touches me so well,Sex Abuse.A very intelligent girl named Lisbeth in the movie was actually became a girl with personality disordered with some problems related to sex and drug abuse because she was actually been sexually abused by her father that led her to burn her father alive when she was 12.Folks said,there wouldn't be a movie if there wasn't a real story,so I believe that Sex Abuse had become a very common things for us,Malaysians to see it in the newspaper especially when it happened to children. Terribly traumatic and lead to complex causes,it is believed that only 10 percent from the total sex abuse cases are reported due to the victim's family prefer to remain silent in avoiding being ashamed and alienated by the community.This result to tremendous traumatise experience to the victims especially when it happened to a young child that will chased by the nightmare during their whole process of growing.Imagine,in 2009 alone it was reported that there are 313 cases related to chlid's sex abuse happened in a month in Malaysia which brought to 2193 cases in the year alone.Looking at the bright side, even tough the report rises as the year goes by,its actually a good positive sign as the police believe that the community had actually reached the awareness to report on such cases to protect the innocence.Before I continue any further,Child Sex Abuse is actually defined as any sexual act with a child performed by an adult or an older child."  Child sexual abuse could include a number of acts, including but not limited to: 

• Sexual touching of any part of the body, clothed or unclothed;

• Penetrative sex, including penetration of the mouth;

• Encouraging a child to engage in sexual activity, including masturbation;

• Intentionally engaging in sexual activity in front of a child;

• Showing children pornography, or using children to create pornography;

• Encouraging a child to engage in prostitution.

Looking at this matter,I believe that it is not just to the parents that should shouldered the responsibility but its actually to everyone, the whole community should gain the awareness of what should they do to protect the younger generation.Above all the problems that could lead to a disastrous life of a child,I view that Sex Abuse is the most terrible of all.Do the least we can and I am trying to spread this awareness.If you ever happen to deal with this type of situation where a child tells you about they are being sexually harrased then you must know how to;

Be calm.A child may misinterpret your anger at the abuse as disgust for him/her. Staying calm will also help him/her regain his/her dignity, which is often the first to go. Assurances like, “Other children have had similar experiences,” or “Let’s see what we can do,” could encourage the child to open up more.

Be supportive.Talking about the abuse can be as traumatic as the abuse itself. Adults must give the child as much support as possible, especially when the child begins to open up. Reassure the child that you’ll be there for as long as it takes, and that you’ll go through it together.Report the abuseThis is one way to stop the abuse. Moreover, everybody is mandated to report all confirmed or suspected cases of abuse within 48 hours.

Believe.Children rarely invent stories. They hesitate telling because they fear nobody will believe them. Believing a child is a major step in helping him/her overcome the trauma. Statements like “I believe you” or “It’s not your fault” will help the healing.

Be affirming.Abused children are often confused about their feelings, as a result of manipulation by their abusers. They must be allowed and encouraged to say what they feel. And their feelings must be taken seriously and affirmed. “I know this isn’t easy,” and “You’re very brave to be opening up,” convey empathy, concern and support a child’s need.Prepare the child for what will happen nextAbused children feel helpless. They need to know that there are people who can help. They must also be told what they could do, i.e. how to relate the incident, whom to tell, and what support is needed.






Judy.

She threatened to kill herself at school.

Judy is a ten-year-old girl who was referred toFor The Child's Mental Health Program because she locked herself in a bathroom stall at school and threatened to kill herself. Judy has lived in more than twenty foster homes and has been admitted to psychiatric hospitals several times for treatment of depression.

Judy was physically and sexually abused by her stepfather from the time she was a toddler until early elementary school age.

Many of her previous foster placements failed because the foster families could not handle the severity of her mental health problems. Although Judy has many challenges in her life, she has shown definite improvement during her treatment at For The Child. She uses her therapy time well to learn ways of coping with difficult memories and emotions. She was very touched at Christmas by the special gifts she received from For The Child donors, including a beautiful coat and a hand carved wood jewelry box. The best gift of all was sharing Christmas with a supportive foster family.

Brothers, aged 6 and 3, were playing outside when they agreed to help their neighbor search his apartment for the kitten.
Tom was a friend to all of the children in the apartment complex. He was also a registered sex offender, but no one knew. Sammy and Tommy were lured to his apartment with the kitten story, sexually assaulted and tied up. An intense search for the boys by law enforcement and neighbors saved their lives.


I believe that we can be proactive and its not an issue to have this kind of awareness.People should know and learn the least about this.Thank you. :)

Miss World Universe 2013: The Crown for The Most Deserving Shemale.

Kali terakhir berada di pertandingan ini adalah ketika usia saya baru menginjak ke 18 tahun.Satu kenangan yang banyak pengalaman kelakar untuk diingati.Saya kembali ke satu lagi pertandingan ratu cantik yang cukup dikenali di kalangan 'akak-akak' aka Shemale di Malaysia,kali ini saya cuma pergi menyokong dan menyaksikan bukanlah sebagai salah satu peserta.

Saya secara last minutenya membuat keputusan untuk pergi menyokong kawan/senior/mak ayam/dolls/sister (segala mak nenek slash lah kan) Syz Anna: Miss Kazakhstan 2013.

Like seriously,during my study times I have so many issues and I will get to Syz for some piece of advices and I still do seek them from her.Must say,she's a smart girl with an attitude,she got her own personality and it just blend in nicely with me.Feels much comfort when I am around her.

Kami sokong Kazakhstan! These are my old friends who came to support Syz.From Right,Tina,Amir Mata'ab aka Panda(hope i spell betul), Azmyl(Mell),me and Amy Marissa.Ini semua kawan lama sejak dari zaman kolej,especially to Marissa,one of my earliest friends masa belajar,cant believe dia sangat-sangat cantik sekarang yet im happy dia tetap sama sangat sopan dan merendah diri seperti dulu.That's the way a smart girl should act,classy! :) FYI,Evening Dress maut Syz direka dan dihasilkan oleh Tina dan untuk National Costume hasil rekaan Mell.Very talented and amazing,contact them kalau nak tempah baju raya okayh!

Sejujurnya,saya sendiri belum pernah tengok shemale atau transgender secantik ini.She is soooooo pretty yang kalau u ols tengok maka akan terbongkar lah segala rasa cemburu dan kekaguman u ols apatah lagi dia seorang yang sangat sopan dan lemah lembut!Even Tasha Shila ada malam itu,must say her beauty distracted those real girls!Tak dapat nak korek cerita dia dalam sangat cuz dia ni tak pandai sgt cakap Bahasa Inggeris.

  

Please,jangan komen apa-apa pasal outfit saya,ye saya akui sepanjang majlis-majlis yang saya pernah pergi,ini adalah outfit paling hodoh saya pernah pakai.Like I said,it was last minute,saya pakai apa yang ada sahaja.Memang luar citarasa saya,but dolls,let us be positive,still i'm a human and never forget Fashion is all about experimenting,Ada kalanya eksperimen menjadi dan adakalanya tidak.At least,saya jadi lebih arif tentang proportion selepas ini.Just carrying myself the way I am,itu penting!Hiks!

Seperti mana-mana pertandingan ratu cantik,anda pasti ada peserta kegemaran sendiri dan inilah dia pesrta kegemaran saya.Miss Brazil,1st Runner Up Miss World Universe 2013.Orangnya tinggi lampai berwajah pan asian.Cantiknya dia tak perlu nak dihurai panjang sangat lah kan.Tapi kenapa saya suka dia?

1.This is what I called a beauty queen,dia ada 'grace' dia tersendiri.Cara pembawakan dirinya teratur dan lembut.

2.Dia kurang fasih berbahasa Inggeris tetapi keyakinannya sangat tinggi,bila diajukan apa sahaja soalan dia tahu apa yang perlu dijawab walaupun beberapa kali dipermainkan pengacara majlis.

3.Rendah diri,saya perhatikan,bila tiba masa dia menerima mahkota,dia satu-satunya peserta yang akan menundukkan kepala tanpa perlu diminta.Selesai menerima mahkota dan selempang,dia akan tunggu penyampai hadiah turun dulu baru dia ke belakang dengan perlahan.Di depan juri,dia yakin tapi pasti akan menganggukkan kepala tanda terima kasihnya pd semua.

4. Pintar memberi jawapan,mungkin sebab dia sudah dilatih dan banyak pengalaman masuk pelbagai pertandingan di negara asalnya,jawapannya ketika QA session berlangsung kebanyakkan bersifat menyeluruh untuk semua.Pendapat yang dikeluarkan sangat positif dan setiap ideanya menggambarkan dirinya yang bijak.

Saya secara peribadi bangga dengan Syz malam itu kerana dia nampak sangat relaks,tidak terlalu gementar dan bersahaja di atas pentas.Dia nampak enjoy pada malam itu dan cuba menikmati masa berposing menayang kecantikan atas pentas,itu yang mungkin menarik perhatian ramai dan menempatkan dia di dalam top 10.Mungkin agak gementar ketika QA session tapi girl,i get your idea in the whole answer and I am suprised!Sememangnya soalan untuk Syz agak susah. 

"What is the benefit people can get from War?"

War means Destruction that don't belong to the definition of benefit,but people must try to view it positively in improving their coming generations and country's future.Learn from old mistakes,itulah yang cuba ditafsirkan oleh Syz dan saya tak sangka dia boleh beri jawapan bernas walaupun dalam keadaan agak gementar.Idea itu saya kira sudah cukup konkrit cuma penyampaiannya agak kaburt.Its not easy,but she did it with pride.

This is one of the best pageant for shemales that i have seen,the winners are deserving. Penat juga melihat akak-akak berbuah dada padat memperagakan baju dress sarat bermanik tetapi belum cukup panjang akal nak bergelar 'Ratu'.But this time,its quite satisfying awalaupun ada juga beberapa pemenang saya kategorikan bimbo terlepas dapat pegang takhta walaupun IQ nya sadis.

Bertemu Sajat,Ayu Siti dan beberapa mak ayam was like an inspiration!Itu yang saya suka pergi ke majlis sebegini.Hope to see you soon on Instagram next month my darling readers!Hiks!

Rokok dan Saya. :)

Seperti hari biasa sebelum pergi ke tempat kerja saya panik mencari-cari liquid eyeliner yang tersorok di dalam box mekap saya,tiba-tiba jari ni tak tersengaja tercapai sepapan ubat yang tersimpan bersama alatan mekap lain di dalam kotak mekap besar pink kesayangan saya ( Thanks to abang saya,Izad yang membelikannya setahun yang lalu).Berbalik pada ubat yang saya capai,ia adalah pil anti-oxidant yang diberikan oleh seorang doktor tak lama dulu masa saya pergi ke klinik kerana tubuh tidak sihat pada masa itu.Mengikut kata doktor,ubat itu adalah gabungan pil-pil antioxidant A,C,E dan Zinc kalau tak silap saya kerana dia dapat lihat wajah saya yang pucat mungkin kerana penat bekerja (tidaklah nak puji diri sendiri ni rajin bekerja,cuma memang saya bekerja ikut shift dan boleh membuatkan saya keletihan).

Saya tahu apa itu fungsi anti-oxidant yang membantu untuk mengelakkan proses pengoksidaan tubuh manusia.Okay,a little science fact,pernah tak makan kupas buah epal?Tinggalkan selama 30 minit,epal yang dikupas itu akan bertukar menjadi hitam bukan?Itulah proses pengoksidaan,dan kita manusia juga mengalaminya.

Masa meneliti semula ubat itu sebenarnya dah lama saya tak telan mengikut nasihat doktor.Saya tinggalkan ubat itu kerana sering terlupa untuk mengambilnya sertiap hari dan akhirnya saya lupa terus sampai saya terjumpa semula dalam kotak mekap.Hmmm...saya memang susah nak makan ubat-ubat ni.Tapi tak dinafikan bila makan ubat itu,tubuh terasa bertenaga,kurang mengantuk dan lebih aktif.Tapi saya degil dan suka kesan yang lebih cepat,jadi saya memang sudah terbiasa dengan tabiat meminum kopi atau nescafe setiap pagi,dan bila mana stress kerja menyerang atau selepas makan,saya akan pastikan saya dapat menghisap satu atau dua batang rokok.Mungkin ramai yang tak sangka,rupa-rupanya saya ni merokok,tapi itulah kenyataannya,walaupun saya tahu kesannya yang tidak baik untuk badan.Kaffeine dan Rokok ya memang dua benda yang membantu saya untuk menghilangkan rasa mengantuk dan letih secara cepat,tapi dalam jangka masa yang panjang saya dapat rasakan tubuh saya mudah jadi letih.

Pernah juga terjadi sewaktu sedang duduk-duduk memenuhi ketagihan saya terhadap kopi di Starbuck,saya ternampak sekumpulan budak perempuan berusia 14-16 tahun duduk di meja seberang saya sedang bergelak ketawa sambil bangga menghayunkan rokok di jari.Bayangkan betapa hodohnya pemandangan sebegitu?Buat diri ni terasa jahat,mungkinkah saya atau orang dewasa lain yang asyik dengan tabiat merokok itu telah mempengaruhi budak-budak perempuan bawah umur itu?Mereka perempuan dan terlalu muda untuk membinasakan diri dengan rokok hanya kerana pengaruh sosial.Mungkin bukan saya mempengaruhi mereka,mungkin orang lain,tapi apa bezanya dengan saya yang juga seorang perokok?

Itu adalah antara sebab yang membuatkan saya mengambil inisiatif untuk sekurang-kurangnya cuba untuk berhenti merokok.Alhamdulilah,hari saya menaip post ini saya sudahpun seminggu tidak menghisap rokok.Ketagihannya itu masih ada dan rindu pada kopi turut juga menebal.Tapi saya takut,usia saya masih muda dan saya perlukan tubuh dan tenaga ini untuk bekerja.Saya tidak mahu bekerja di usia 23 tahun tapi letih ibarat orang berusia 40 tahun.Ada yang menyindir saya tiba-tiba 'feeling' atau berangan health conscious konon-konon nak jaga kulit dan kecantikan,but its actually more than that.Its about my appreciation to my own body.Dalam dunia yang memaksa kita untuk mencari rezeki ibarat tanpa rehat,kenapa perlu guna alasan 'ketagihan' sebagai alasan untuk menyiksa tubuh?

Tapi saya masih dalam tempoh percubaan,mungkin saya tidak sepenuhnya meninggalkan rokok dalam sebulan.Tapi saya sedang bersusaha,dan usaha itu ada perancangan.Tidak kisahlah kalau ada yang menyindir prinsip menolak rokok saya ini takkan bertahan lama tapi selagi kita tahu niat kita yang betul,apa lagi yang lebih penting?Saya juga faham berhenti merokok itu bukan ambil masa semalaman,ia adalah proses melatih tubuh.Dan saya akan melatih dan mengawal tubuh saya mengikut kehendak Tuhan.Mohon jangan carut saya,drop some supports.  ;) LOVE LOVE LOVE

Di Sebalik Red Carpet; Leslie Fremar dan Elizabeth Stewart

Tahu sahaja Oscar atau Academy Award berlangsung,cepat saya google untuk melihat apa yang dipakai selebriti Hollywood (memandangkan kerja membataskan masa saya untuk duduk depan TV menonton bahagian red carpet di E Channel.)Beberapa pelakon wanita sempat mencuri perhatian saya dengan gaun labuh mereka yang bersifat lebih classy dan elegan untuk majlis-majlis sehebat ini.

Nicole Kidman dipuji kerana memiliki tubuh yang hebat menggayakan apa sahaja gaun red carpet, Elie Saab dikagumi kerana gaun-gaunnya yang kreatif disaratkan dengan perincian manik glamor.Tapi tidak banyak dari kita tahu siapa yang sebenarnya dipertanggungjawabkan untuk mengurus segala hal gaun-gaun bernilai tersebut sehingga ianya cantik tersarung di atas red carpet.Stailist,tanpa mereka apa lah gaun Dior tersebut tanpa susun atur visual imej yang kreatif menjadikan pakaian couture tampak bergaya tanpa cacat.Dari penggambaraan kulit majalah,pertunjukan fesyen sehingga majlis-majlis prestij hiburan,stailist adalah insan bertanggungjawab di dalam menginterpretasi konsep kreativiti client mereka yang terdiri daripada pereka fesyen,selebriti dan editor majalah.

Leslie Fremar,kerjayanya bermula sebagai pembantu untuk editor Vogue Amerika,Anna Wintour. Dia kemudiannya bertugas sebagai pegawai PR untuk jenama Prada dan kini sepenuhnya bertugas sebagai stailist untuk para selebriti untuk sebarang majlis. Adalah suatu keistimewaan baginya yang pernah bekerja di bawah naungan Anna Wintour kerana tempias pengaruh editor hebat itu pasti banyak membantu menaikkan nama Leslie.Dia pernah menggayakan ramai A-List selebriti seperti Salma Hayek,Julianne Moore dan Scarlet Johansson. Terbaru,Leslie menggayakan Charlize Theron untuk majlis Oscar 2013 dalam rekaan Armanai Prive.

                              

Elizabeth Stewart,salah seorang stailist yang paling berpengaruh di Hollywood.Cekap dalam tugasnya mengolah gaya dan mendapatkan pakaian dan rekaan terbaik untuk klien,Elizabeth pernah menggayakan selebriti seperti Jessica Chastain, Freida Pinto dan Jennifer Lawrence.Beliau yang asalanya merupakan penulis untuk New York Times Magazine dan Women's Wear Daily mulai menyukai tugas sebagai stailist untuk kulit majalah dan akhirnya menggunakan khidmat ke atas ramai selebriti untuk acara red carpet.Terbaru, Amanda Seyfried memakai rekaan Alexander McQueen yang diolah gayanya oleh Elizabeth Stewart untuk Oscar Award.
